Vintage 8 x 10.25 booklet photo of the Mercury astronauts posing in their flight suits, signed in blue ballpoint, “Gus Grissom,” “Gordon Cooper,” “Scott Carpenter,” “D. K. Slayton,” and “Walter Schirra,” and in black felt tip, “Alan Shepard” and “J. H. Glenn, Jr.” The photo is also signed in blue ballpoint, “Flight Director, Chris C. Kraft, Jr.” This was the only astronaut group with members who flew on all classes of NASA manned spacecraft of the 20th century, from Mercury through Gemini and Apollo, and ending with John Glenn’s flight on the STS-95 Space Shuttle mission. In very good to fine condition, with trimmed top edge, some light creases and wrinkles, a bit of moderate contrast to Slayton’s signature, and a bit of light soiling.
