A piece of Pennsylvania

Delegate to the Continental Congress and signer of the Declaration of Independence from North Carolina (1741–1788). Partly printed DS, one page, 16.75 x 10.75, October 17, 1765. An indenture for a parcel of land owned by Thomas and Richard Penn, issued to John Meem of York. The document retains part of the ribbon from its pendant seal at lower center. Tear to central portion of printed text, four small “threading” holes for ribbon lightly touching signature, intersecting folds, wrinkling, and scattered soiling and toning, otherwise good condition. The signature is large, dark, and otherwise unaffected. R&R COA.
