A huge man, who’s massive build and Boris Karloff’s reticence to continue to play monsters, helped him break into the horror picture genre of the 1940s. Strange made his monstrous debut in House of Frankenstein, quickly followed by House of Dracula. Glossy 10 x 8 Monogram Pictures promotional photo for Fugitive Valley, signed and inscribed in black felt tip “To my friend Bob, Glenn Strange, Sam,” and signed and inscribed in brown felt tip, “Hello Bob, my western pal, Best wishes always, Ray ‘Crash’ Corrigan’ 197.” A few scattered creases, light crazing to emulsion, and a few trivial spots, otherwise fine condition.
