In part, “I know Mrs. Eisenhower will be delighted, as am I, to have a copy of your monograph on ‘The Brick End Barns of the Pennsylvania Dutch.’ I had not known there was any authoritative work on them in existence.” Accompanied by a signed copy of the book, signed by the author, J.
