Her debut occurred in Verdi's La Forza del Destina as Leonora. Vintage sepia pearl-finish 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Miss Gertrude Gilbert, With sincerest wishes and delightful memories of my first visit to San Diego, Rosa Ponselle, March 1925.” In fine condition, with a few trivial surface marks.
