Description

Epstein sends complimentary tickets for the Beatles going-away performance at the Cavern

Famed Beatles discoverer and manager. TLS, one page, 5.5 x 8.25, personal letterhead, March 7, 1962. Letter to a member of the Beatles fan club. In full, “Enclosed herewith is a draft for the letter which I suggest you send to current members of the Fan Club. I am also enclosing 15 Complimentary tickets for the Cavern, April 5th. Sorry about the delay.” Double matted and framed with a promotional card for the Beatles Fan Club presents “The Beatles for Their Fans,” held at the Cavern on April 5, 1962, filled out on the reverse by a lucky recipient, giving her free admission into the fan club, and a nice group portrait of John, Paul, George, and Pete Best, to an overall size of 22 x 17.5. This particular performance was a special "going-away" performance for The Beatles Fan Club before the group headed off to Hamburg. For nostalgia sake, the Beatles started the show in their leathers. After a break, they changed into their suits. In fine condition, with a few mild creases. COA Roger Epperson/REAL and R&R COA.
