American actor (1901–1972) who was nominated for an Academy Award for his supporting role in the 1939 version of Beau Geste. He served as an Army pilot during World War I. Terrific vintage matte-finish sepia 8 x 10 photo of the grinning younger Donlevy posing in flying uniform before an airplane, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To George S—, Many thanks for joining our club and best regards, Brian Donlevy.” In very fine condition.
