Extraordinary and exceedingly scarce souvenir typescript, a lengthy excerpt from the exchange between the moon and mission control during the Apollo XI mission, including Armstrong’s famous quotation, “That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind,” one page on onionskin, 8.5 x 11, signed by all three crew members. Armstrong has signed in blue felt tip, “Neil Armstrong, 1-5-77”; Collins has signed in ballpoint, “Michael Collins, Apollo XI CMP”; and Aldrin has signed in ballpoint, “Buzz Aldrin, Apollo XI LMP.” The ballpoint signature “Bruce McCandless II, Apollo 11 CAPCOM,” was added beneath Aldrin’s circa 2006–2007. Accompanied by two certificates of authenticity from Novaspace Galleries certifying Collins’s and Aldrin’s signatures (including photos taken at the time of signing), and a letter from John Reznikoff of University Archives certifying, through provenance and forensic analysis, that the Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins signatures were obtained after the document was typed (i.e., with the signers’ full knowledge of the contents). In fine condition, with faint horizontal fold, a few faint creases, and typical subtle blurring to Armstrong’s signature from the use of felt tip on onionskin. COA Scott Cornish and R&R COA.
