In full: “In return for your [book] Green Carnation, and to save you looking for a reprint in 1994, I send you a few less exotic flowers of my own.” “Felix” is evidently a reference to Hichens’s semiautobiographical novel of the same name; the “less exotic flowers” Milne refers to may be the story collection Birthday Party and the poetry volume The Norman Church, both published in the previous year.
