Renowned jazz saxophonist (1928–1975) who played with the Miles Davis sextet in the late 1950s and went on to form his own quintet (which later grew into a sextet). Vintage glossy 8 x 10 publicity photo, signed and inscribed in ballpoint, “To Lillian from ‘Cannonball.’” In very good condition, with irregular ink adhesion resulting in a few dropped strokes and letters (not affecting signature itself), scattered dings and small creases (one to cheek), and light toning and soiling.
