ALS, in French, one page, 8.25 x 6.5, Giverny par Vernon Eure letterhead, April 6, 1895. An untranslated letter to Monet’s close friend, art critic Gustave Geffroy (1855–1926), evidently involving a Monday morning meeting in Paris. Matted with a portrait and original mailing envelope addressed in Monet’s hand to an overall size of 23.25 x 18. Intersecting mailing folds and a few tiny edge tears, otherwise fine, bright condition. The writing and signature are dark and bold throughout. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
