Original hand-inked two panel Andy Capp daily comic strip, dated December 23, 1988, on a 14.5 x 5 piece of artist’s cardstock. Panel shows a dripping Percy having been rescued from the canal by Andy, so as to avoid accusations he pushed him in in the first place. Signed at the bottom of the second panel in black ink, “Smythe,” and also signed again on a small label affixed to the bottom border, “Best wishes, Reg Smythe.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 18.75 x 9.
