Highly respected, multiple-Oscar-winning American film director (1894–1973) who helmed such classics as Stagecoach, The Grapes of Wrath, and The Searchers. Terrific vintage matte-finish 14 x 11 photo of Ford with the cast of his 1930 film Born Reckless, inscribed in another hand “To J. H. Huber—Here’s luck from ‘Born Reckless’ company” and signed in ink by all ten pictured: John Ford, Ben Bard, Eddie Gribbon, Warren Hymer, Marguerite Churchill, Edmund Lowe, Catherine Dale Owen, Wm. Harrigan, Joe Brown (adding “No E”), and Pat Somerset. Marginal staple holes, a few light bends (one extending into image at lower left), inscription touching one letter of Ford’s first name, and faint brush to “F”, otherwise fine condition. A scarce and impressive item from the legendary director! R&R COA.
