Partly printed DS, one page, 21.75 x 17, February 28, 1898. An appointment for Charles S. Robinson as postmaster at Princeton, New Jersey. The embossed foil and ribbon seal remains intact at lower left. In very good condition, with scattered marginal soiling, chipping and small tears to top edge and to seal, and a few subtle bends and wrinkles (one bend just touching first letter of signature).
