BECKS APPEAL: Game-worn and signed World Cup qualifier shin pads from Mr. Posh Spice, footballer and media sensation DAVID BECKHAM

A pair of David Beckham’s game-worn and signed Adidas shin pads. Black shin pads, size large, were worn by Beckham in a 2002 World Cup qualifying match on Saturday, March 24, 2001, at Anfield, Liverpool against Finland. During this game Beckham scored for the first time for England in open play; first time as captain; and it was his first score for England on English soil. Shin pads have been customized on the inside in another hand in black felt tip, “Becks 7,” on both, with Beckham signing each one on the inside in black felt tip. Shin pads were originally awarded as a prize from the BBC Radio Show Wright and Bright, and are accompanied by a print out of the original e-mail prize notification to the recipient. Pads were also offered for sale as item #245, in the November 15, 2006, Christie’s sale and retain the original auction tag. It was confirmed on January 11, 2007, that David Beckham would be leaving Real Madrid to join MLS team Los Angeles Galaxy on a five-year deal worth as much as $250 million that will see Beckham earn up to $10 million a year in direct salary, but with endorsements and profit-sharing, Beckham could earn up to $50 million a year and earning about ninety dollars every second on the field. In fine condition. Auction LOA Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
