Very rare glossy 8 x 10 photo, an original publicity still from the 1967 film Don’t Make Waves, signed and inscribed in blue felt tip, “To Alan, Sharon Tate.” Though Don’t Make Waves was the third of the films produced starring Tate, it was the first to be released and is generally regarded as her screen debut. Though billed third under stars Tony Curtis and Claudia Cardinale, Tate and her Waves character, “Malibu,” earned a permanent place in pop-culture history as the direct inspiration for Mattel’s enormously popular “Malibu Barbie” doll.
