Signed and inscribed in ink on a printed prefatory page, “To Mr. Josh B. King with New Year’s Greetings, P. T. Barnum, Jany. 1st 1883.” In fair condition, with covers heavily worn and partially detached, previous owner’s bookplate and ink stamps, vertical tape stain to signed page (which is detached), diagonal fold over top of last name of signature, writing just a shade light, and scattered toning and soiling. Signed page also bears a Don Smith Circus Collection stamp. The inscription and signature are clear and mostly unaffected. R&R COA.
