Author (1891–1980) best known for such sexually charged classics as Tropic of Cancer and the Rosy Crucifixion trilogy. Though his writings were long banned in the U.S. and elsewhere, he has since come to be recognized as one of the major figures of twentieth-century literature. His career and relationship with writer Anaïs Nin were dramatized in the 1990 film Henry & June. Two items: ALS, signed “Henry,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, September 1, 1979. Miller writes to Irv. In part: “In one of my mails to you I believe I enclosed a letter from a Dave C— in Minneapolis.
