American animator, best known for his work at Fleischer Studio. He started his first career work in 1930 at Fleischer Studio. At Fleischer he worked on Betty Boop, Raggedy Ann, Gulliver’s Travels, the animated adaptations of Superman, and Popeye. He was head animator on two Academy Award nominated shorts. Limited edition hand-painted animation cel, #185/250, entitled Mutiny, 11 x 15, showing Popeye handling Bluto as Wimpy and Olive Oyl watch the action, signed in black felt tip by Waldman. Triple matted and framed to an overall size of 17.5 x 22.75. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from King Features, also signed by Waldman. In very fine condition. R&R COA.
