Grazie: Caruso thanks a composer for the dedication of two songs

Famed Italian tenor (1873–1921) whose unprecedented popularity, which extended well beyond the realm of opera, made him the first superstar of the recording era. ALS in Italian, 6 x 9.5, Hotel York letterhead, February 9, 1905. Caruso send thanks to Maestro P[laton] Brounoff for the dedication of two “romanzes,” “Per norre” and “Tu m’ami.” Brounoff (1863–1924) was a Russian-born composer who wrote a number of vocal works, including an opera titled Titanic. Tiny edge separations at mailing folds and signature a subtle shade lighter than body of text, otherwise fine, clean condition. R&R COA.
