Signing her “one and only”

Signed book: Gone with the Wind. First edition, second state (with “June 1936” on copyright page). New York: Macmillan, 1936. Hardcover with deluxe custom quarter-leather slipcase, 6 x 8.5, 1037 pages. Signed and inscribed in fountain pen on the front free end page, “To Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kelcy from Margaret Mitchell, with many thanks.” Accompanied by an unsigned vintage photo captioned on the reverse “Margaret Mitchell with Edwin Granberry, novelist, Herschell Brickell, literary critic, at Blowing Rock, NC.” In very good condition, with light rubbing and faint staining to covers, scattered light foxing and staining to interior (including signed page), and a touch of mild marginal dampstaining to front and rear pages.
