Printed musical score to the Lincoln Portrait, 9 x 12, forty-four pages, signed and inscribed on the title page in black ballpoint, “For Stuart Wright, Aaron Copland 1977.” Score is also signed and inscribed on the front cover, “Yes the Lincoln Portrait is very close to me. I conducted the world premiere and Aaron dedicated it to me. With all best wishes, Andre Kostelanetz.” This work was commissioned by Kostelanetz and was first performed by him with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra on May 14, 1924, and was dedicated to Kostelanetz. In fine condition, with small price label affixed to title page and a line of light soiling affecting last letter of Copland’s signature. R&R COA.
