Two page handwritten personal diary, in Hebrew, on off-white 5 x 8.5 faintly-lined sheets, documenting the political and national events that led to the 1959 elections to the Israeli Parliament (The Knesset). We are not certain, but it appears that these are the chapter headings for Prime Minister Ben-Gurion’s autobiography. In this document, Ben-Gurion mentions the balance of powers in the Israeli Knesset and major events in Israel like the riots in Vadi Salib in Haifa, the everlasting debate on who is a Jew and the chronological events that led to the elections on December 3, 1959. In fine condition, with previous storage folds and punch holes to one side of each page. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
