American character actress (1899–1969) best known for her recurring role as Aunt Harriet on the television series Batman. Scarce original glossy 8 x 10 publicity photo from Batman, signed and inscribed in black ink, “Best wishes always to Jess from Madge Blake.” In fine condition overall, with small corner bend, brush to one letter of inscription, and irregular trimming, ink notations, and tape remnant to margins (not affecting image and easily matted out). Blake, who died shortly after Batman’s cancellation, is one of the show’s most elusive signers. R&R COA.
