Vintage ballpoint and pencil signatures of the cast of Dennis the Menace on three 6 x 4.5 album pages, highlighted by a signature and inscription, “Hi Freddie - I know you’re a good boy and not like someone I know!! Mr. Wilson, Joseph Kearns”; as well as signatures and inscriptions of Jay North, Herbert Anderson, and Gloria Henry. Accompanied by an unsigned 8 x 10 cast photo. Kearns died in the middle of the third season of Dennis from a cerebral hemorrhage, only five days after his fifty-fifth birthday. He was replaced by fellow radio veteran Gale Gordon, who played George Wilson’s brother John. In the show’s storyline, it was explained that George and Martha Wilson were taking a cruise trip and John Wilson was caring for their home while they were away. Audiences were not receptive to the sudden change in storyline, and now that Dennis (played by Jay North) was getting older, he had lost much of his childlike charm. The show was cancelled later that year. In fine condition, with light toning working on from edges of Kearns’ page and light overall toning to remaining pages. Kearns is an extremely scarce signature, only the third one we have seen! R&R COA.
