In 1991, Harrison teamed with Eric Clapton for a twelve-date tour of Japan, marking the first such tour for Harrison in nearly seventeen years. Harrison’s return to the road was a resounding success, and following the tour, Genesis Publications chronicled every aspect of the trip with the publication of a book titled Live In Japan, issued in a limited edition of just 3500 copies. Signed book: Live In Japan. England: Genesis Publications, 1993. Leather bound hardcover with slipcase, 10 x 13, 271 pages. Signed in black ink on a 2.25 x 1 gilt-edged bookplate affixed to the inside front cover. The book features commentaries written by Harrison and each band member as well as over 500 previously unpublished photos from the tour. Book is handsomely housed in a custom made slip case together with two Live From Japan compact discs, replicas of the laminate backstage pass used on the tour, an “after show” pass and replicas of four guitar picks used by Harrison and Clapton. Also included is the original shipping box, numbered 1530. In excellent condition. Approximately half of these publications were sold before Harrison’s death in 2001.
