Belgian-born American author and illustrator (1898–1962) best known for his now-classic series of “Madeleine” children’s books. Vintage ink signature, “Ludwig Bemelmans,” on an off-white 3.5 x 2 card, Bemelmans adding a sketch of a smiling sun. In very good condition, with a few pencil notations, light soiling and faint toning, and a few tiny spots. R&R COA.
