Two commemorative covers: Apollo 11 commemorative cover, bearing a stamped Apollo 11 mission emblem, Apollo 8 postage stamp and a July 16, 1969 Kennedy Space Center cancellation stamp, signed on the front in black felt tip by Neil Armstrong; and an Apollo 11 commemorative recovery cover, bearing an Apollo 11 Manned Lunar Landing stamped cachet, a U. S. Navy Recovery Force Pacific stamps and a stamp of the lunar and command modules, an Apollo 8 postage stamp and a July 24, 1969 U.S.S. Hornet cancellation stamp, signed on the front in blue ballpoint by Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins and signed in black felt tip by helicopter recovery pilot D.L. Jones. In fine condition, with a few light bends and creases to Hornet cover and a few trivial spots. The mission fulfilled President John F. Kennedy's goal of “landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the Earth” by the end of the 1960s. Many consider the landing one of the defining moments of the 20th century.
