Fabulous set of vintage ballpoint signatures, “John Lennon,” “Paul McCartney,” “George Harrison,” and “Ringo Starr,” on the reverse of an 8 x 10 letter of invitation, on ABC Television Limited letterhead, to a fan to attend a taping of Lucky Stars Summer Spin Pop Shop. A date of “11 July 1964,” has been added to the top right corner. Letter reads, “This is a letter to invite you to participate in our feature ‘Pop Shop’, which will be televised from ABC Television, Broom Road, Teddington on Saturday 11th July in our programme Lucky Stars Summer Spin. We would like you to be at the studio by 12.00 noon for rehearsals, and the programme will be transmitted live at 5.50 pm. Please bring this letter to the studio gates as it is your authority to enter the studio—there will be no admission to the studio without it.” Suede matted and framed with a color Beatles picture album, to an overall size of 18.5 x 27. Two horizontal vertical folds and a small tear affecting date, otherwise fine condition. Planned as ITV’s answer to Juke Box Jury, which had been running on BBC television since 1959, Thank Your Lucky Stars arrived on British TV screens in April 1961 and soon became an instant hit with the nations teenagers.
