TLS, one page, 8 x 10.5, State of New York letterhead, September 3, 1931. Memo to Commissioner Brandt regarding a new scenic road along Lake Ontario. In part, “I do, however, want to lay down one definite policy on my part - this road is not to be built merely as a through artery to get from one place to another. The whole purpose of it is to provide a scenic highway which will at every point possible look down on Lake Ontario. I fear the present lake road throughout the greater part of its length affords no view of the lake.” In fine condition, with stamp and pencil notation near top and a light shade of toning. LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
