Revered Spanish cellist and composer (1876–1973) widely regarded as the greatest player in the history of the instrument. Two items: 1953 TLS in French, one page on Festival de Prades letterhead, thanking the recipient for a book and praising a “magnificent” clarinetist; and a 1937 ALS in French on a government postcard, sending friendly greetings.
