1789 check from the infamous VP-cum-duellist

Revolutionary War soldier, lawyer, senator, and vice president under Jefferson (1756–1836), probably best known for mortally wounding Alexander Hamilton in a duel on July 11, 1804. Business check, 6 x 2.75, filled out in another hand and signed by Burr, payable to AB [self] for £20.6.7 1/2, May 13, 1789. Matted and framed with an engraved plaque and nineteenth-century engraving to an overall size of 17 x 11.75. Ink cross-cancellation touching signature, otherwise fine, exceptionally bright condition.
