Original artwork for a daily Peanuts strip featuring Charlie Brown and Violet discussing her father’s reading habits, ink on artist’s cardstock, 27.5 x 6.75, April 6, 1964, signed in ink in the final panel, “Schulz” and in ballpoint in the top margin, “Best wishes, Charles M. Schulz.” The strip has been mounted to a same-sized piece of Masonite and varnished. In good condition, with scattered soiling and edge wear, allover light toning of varnish, bisecting vertical fold, and white discolorations touching Charlie in first and third panels.
