Hand addressed air-mail envelope, 6.5 x 3.5, postmarked September 23, 1943, addressed in Hammett’s hand to “Mrs. Paul S. Monash, 2555 Bainbridge Ave., Bronx, N. Y. N. Y.,” and signed in the return address area, “Cpl. S. D. Hammett, 3118358, 14th Sig. Serv. Det., APO #980, Seattle, Wash.” In fine condition, with strip of old tape over beginning letter of each line of return address and some light wrinkling. R&R COA.
