American musician (1934–1990) who first shot to fame with his number-one hit “Runaway” in 1961. His death by suicide was widely believed to have been related to use of the prescription drug Prozac. Four items: pencil signature on an off-white album page; ballpoint signature on an off-white album page; ballpoint signature and inscription, “Thanks for everything, Love always, Del Shannon,” on a blue album page with affixed pencil sketch; and a promotional postcard photo, 3.25 x 5, signed in blue ink. The first two items are fine, with mild show-through from inscription on reverse of ink signature; the last two are good to very good, with trimmed edges, soiling and wrinkling, bends, and tape remnants to photo.
