TLS, signed “Charles M. Schulz,” one page, 8.5 x 11, illustrated personal letterhead, May 9, 1960. Schulz writes to Anne Taulbee in Cincinnati. In part: “The strip you have requested has already been given to someone else. I suggest that you contact Mr. William Anderson, United Feature Syndicate, in order to see if a copy or photo-stat is available of the April 25th strip.” Recent auction records indicate that Taulbee lost out on a highly coveted collectible that would now have a value in the five figures!
