American cartoonist (1912–1988) best known for his clever, macabre sense of humor. His most famous creation was the Addams Family, which spawned a classic television show and a series of successful films. Signed book: Monster Rally. Addams, 1975,” Addams adding an original ink and wash drawing of a bare-chested Pugsley showing off his muscles to Wednesday. Also included is an ALS of transmittal on New Yorker letterhead, the original mailing label addressed in Addams’ hand, and an unsigned copy of the collector’s letter requesting that Addams sign the book.
