Cohan honors one of his own

Playwright, songwriter, and actor (1878–1942), widely regarded as the father of American musical comedy, who takes a place among the most beloved entertainers of his era. Among his scores of hits are such standards as “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” “Give My Regards to Broadway,” and “Over There.” FDC, 6.5 x 3.75, with a cachet honoring Stephen Collins Foster, signed on the front in black ink, “George M. Cohan.” Double matted with an original copy of the sheet music for When You Come Back and a small plaque, to an overall size of 13.5 x 24.5. In fine condition, with a bit of mild toning and Cohan having a bit of pen trouble at the beginning. R&R COA. Oversized.
