Popular big band leader (1904–1944). In 1942, Miller joined the U.S. Air Force and organized the Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band to entertain the troops. In December 1944, on a flight from England to Paris, the plane Miller was traveling in disappeared over the English Channel and was never found. Fantastic vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 photo of a tuxedoed Miller holding his trombone, boldly signed in fountain pen. In very fine condition. A pristine example—fresh and virtually perfect in every respect! R&R COA.
