Handwritten notes on a 7 x 8.5 sheet of gingham-patterned stationery, signed in the text, “Mr. Lennon,” no date. The notes read, in full: “Barns [sic] & Noble Bookstore, phone & ask when Mr. Lennon can collect his photograph (paid for—but they kept it for their exhibition). (Woman in black bag) (I forgot title).” This is followed by a notation in another hand, probably that of an assistant: “How long ago? Where purchased? Where did you leave it? What exhibit?” Lennon then adds several grocery items and another task: “Instant coffee, fresh mushrooms, health food bread. Air conditioning—Put in.
