American cartoonist (1901–1973) best known for the creation of the durable strip Blondie. Original artwork for a daily Blondie strip featuring Blondie and Cookie in the kitchen, ink on artist’s cardstock, 18 x 5.5, August 15, 1958, signed in the final panel, “Chic Young.” In fine condition, with usual faint blue-pencil editorial notations and vertical fold (between the second and third panels).
