TLS, one page, 8 x 10, July 26, 1984. King responds to a fan regarding his book The Dark Tower. In part: “I have been deluged with questions, comments, and also quite a few brickbats about this little book. Because of all the requests … I have given Don Grant the go ahead to print another 10,000 copies…. I am going to ask Don to service the people who have specifically requested The Dark Tower from me, Doubleday or Viking Press before anyone else…. One last thing. The Dark Tower was done as a limited edition because it was a story with limited appeal. It is a fantasy novel set in a fantasy world, and it is really only the long opening section of a much longer work that is still in progress. I am only telling you this because the story may not be exactly what you have come to expect from me.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Light handling wear, otherwise fine condition.
