Ferdinand asks a Duke for his loyalty during the heratic riots in Germany

Holy Roman emperor (1558–1564) and king of Bohemia and Hungary (1526–1564). In 1555 he ended the religious wars in Germany by concluding the Peace of Augsburg. DS, in Latin, one page, 17 x 13, January 13, 1531. Document written only eight days after his election to the Duke of Milan Franceso Sforza to inform him of Ferdinand’s election, to explain about the heratic riots in Germany, and to talk about the pressure of the Turks on Vienna. He asks the Duke for his loyalty. In very good condition, with previous storage folds, circular toning at top from seal on reverse, lightly trimmed left edge, small holes at fold intersections, some light toning and a bit of edge wear.
