Distinguished Finnish composer (1865–1957) of nationalistic tendencies, best known for his seven completed symphonies and the tone poem Finlandia. Vintage pencil signature, “Joseph Sibelius,” on an off-white 5.5 x 3.5 card, affixed to a slightly larger card. Signature is affixed to the mat of a lovely original pencil sketch of Sibelius, done by George Haessler, and signed by the artist in the lower right corner. Overall size measures 16 x 20. Even overall toning and signature a bit shaky, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
