One-of-a-kind, original 1959 “Reportrait” consists of three stippled portraits of Martin, 14 x 17, by George Haessler, along with Martin’s own handwritten and signed philosophies regarding four areas. In part, On Show Biz; “Irving Berlin has written - ‘There’s no business like show business’ but of course he means every business has its own subtle problems - ups and downs, successes, triumphs and failures. Show business dramatizes the facets of life.” On Talent: “Talent is the rarest of everything - rarer even then diamonds - a girls best friend.” Signed next to her image in red ink, “Mary Martin, Detroit, Mich.
