The first secretary of the treasury, helped to stabilize our nation’s finances, became a bitter enemy of Aaron Burr and was killed by him in a duel in 1804. DS, one page, 3.5 x 4.25, January 17, 1793. Partial document, signed by Hamilton as Secretary of the Treasury. In very good condition, with even cancellation hole removing most of first name and opening stroke of second name and a horizontal fold. R&R COA.
