Regarded as one of the most influential rock and roll guitarists, noted for his mastery of the slide guitar as well as intensity and soulfulness. He was a founding member and the leader of The Allman Brothers Band, and also had a major role on the album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, by Derek and the Dominos. Business check, drawn on The Allman Brothers Band general account, 8.25 x 3.25, filled out and signed by Allman, payable to Minneapolis Musicians Association for $2.10, April 1, 1970. Memo line reads, “Work Dues - Minneapolis.” In fine condition, with bank stamp to center lightly affecting beginning of signature and slight show-through from stamps on reverse.
