Lot of thirteen letters and notes, mostly TLS, various lengths and formats, each signed by a different celebrity: Joan [Crawford], Richard Attenborough (mentioning requirements at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art), Terry Southern, Burt [Lancaster], Adolphe Menjou, Stanley Holloway, Laurence Olivier, Edith Evans, Fred [Zinneman], Bernard [Miles; two], Alfred Hitchcock [brief ANS signed “A & AH”], and Erich [von Stroheim; brief ANS to his wife, whom he addresses as “Dear Poopsie,” with transmittal envelope bearing his handwritten name]. Several of the items include the original mailing envelopes. In fine condition overall, with a few secretarial notations and filing holes, usual light handling wear, slight brushing to Menjou, and small piece of tape touching Stroheim’s signature on envelope.
