I had intended coming to Uvalde as soon as our term of comt. was over, but will have to go from here to Grant County in an important criminal case, so I don’t known when I will be able to get down there. If you and Henry can come up anywhere from the 25th of April to the 1st of May I can be with you. There is a law against hunting at this time of year and there is no place to fish near here. If you all will come say get here Friday the 24th day of March we will locate some Mineing [sic] Claims in a district where I think we have a good chance to make a stake. I have property in this dist. that is worth big Money. Don’t fail to be here on the 24th of this month.” Matted with a reproduction photo to an overall size of 13 x 23.
