Command module pilot for Apollo 11. Lot of five one-page TLSs, dating from September 18, 1972, up to April 6, 1976, all on National Air and Space Museum letterhead. Four letters measure 7 x 9, two signed “M. Collins,” and two signed “Mike,” all written to the same recipient, the Executive Director for FASST (Forum for the Advancement of Students in Science and Technology). Fifth letter is a glowing letter of recommendation, written for the Executive Director, who apparently is searching for new employment. Collins closes the letter by stating, “I highly recommend Tom for a position involving public policy questions of science and technology, especially as they pertain to young people.” In fine condition.
